The images on this tour come from a variety of sources.
Some were taken by Carpatho-Rusyn Society members during our recent tour, others were supplied by the Skansen in Zyndranova and still others come from the Lemko publication "Zahoroda" edited by Vladyslav Hraban.

concentration camp near Grac, Austria
1914-1918
Lemkos were the FIRST people to suffer the concequences of
concentration camps.
This area saw some of the bloodiest fighting of the war.
In nearby Dukla pass area, some 300,000 persons perished in one battle.
It is said the ground oozed blood.
One can still find helmets, shells, rifles and other relics of war
in the surrounding forests
